Powering Systems, Making Connections: Catch Gainwell at the State Healthcare IT Connect Summit

Baltimore Inner Harbor cityscape

We're gearing up for the State Healthcare IT Connect Summit, an annual gathering of the minds shaping the future of health and human services. It’s a chance for states and industry to come together to surface and tackle the challenges facing the public healthcare sector and seize opportunities to transform the Medicaid enterprise for its many stakeholders.

Gainwell is excited to help drive these conversations as the sponsor of Track One, MES Procurement, Implementing Modularity and Outcomes-Based Transformation. Medicaid modernization is a principal focus for Gainwell and our clients (check out our Medicaid Modernization Roadmap if you haven’t yet) and promises to be a key topic of conversation at the Summit.

For our part, Gainwell will be hosting an industry session on transformative, yet practical modernization strategies designed to deliver rapid improvements with minimal disruption. We’ve long been working with Medicaid and state government programs to define system evolution pathways that meet their objectives within the parameters of their programs, populations, budgets and resources.

What we’ve found is that states are approaching modernization in vastly diverse ways — from fully modular replacements to small-scale enhancements — depending on their priorities, risk tolerance, budget and desired outcomes. On April 3, you’ll hear from one state on the pathway they’ve chosen and what drove the decision in a conversation facilitated by Gainwell Product SVP Jeff Reid and Chief Growth Officer Oscar Montes.

Take a quick look at the Summit agenda, and you’ll see the conversation on modernization doesn’t end there. Sessions will cover an exhilarating breadth of ideas, perspectives and innovation geared toward supporting states in achieving the outcomes they desire for their programs and people. Likewise, we’ll be continuing the dialogue at our booth, discussing ways we’re solving for the challenges of today and readying states for tomorrow. Stop by the Gainwell booth to learn more about our solutions and initiatives, including:

  • GainwellConnect, powering system-to-system connections that enable states to perform better, think faster and accelerate digital transformation in HHS programs.

  • GainwellGo, our digital ecosystem building unified, seamless and intuitive experiences that place people at the center.

  • GainwellGenius, our cloud-based intelligent analytics platform turning insights into action for early intervention and mitigation.

We’ll also be talking analytics and AI at the State Healthcare IT Connect AI Governance, Safety and Ethics Bootcamp taking place April 1 in Baltimore. Gainwell’s Sanjeev Kumar, vice president of engineering, data analytics and AI, and Balaji Parameswaran, director of AI and ML, will discuss harnessing AI for Medicaid transformation with Databricks, and Sanjeev will join a state-facilitated panel on procuring trustworthy AI in the public sector.

The discussions had and insights shared at the Summit are sure to shape the trajectory of healthcare for states and their citizens. We can’t wait to connect with our clients and the broader community of innovators working toward a more person-centered, outcomes-focused future.
